Matrix Crossover

I was recently watching The Matrix movies.  There is a part in one of these where Neo is told that every time someone sees a ghost or vampire, it's really a program that has gone bad and needs to be fixed or deleted.  This got me to thinking about how similar these movies are to Buffy.

According to the archetect of the matrix Neo is not unique.  There will always be one like him.  After Zion is rebuilt each time, another like Neo is found and brought out of the Matrix to fight the machines.  This is similar to a slayer being called when the previous one dies.

Neo came back from the dead (well, sort of) and is the first person to face and agent and live.  Buffy has died twice and come back both times.  She has faced things that would have defeated anyone else.

This gets me to thinking about a Matrix/Buffy crosover.  Surely, there would be vampire slayers in the matrix to go after these bad programs that people see as vampires, ghosts, deamons, etc.

What if Buffy was rescued from the matrix at the end of "The Gift", trained like Neo, and sent back in to fight the machines?  When Giles leaves at the end of "Tabula Rasa", it's really because he's been pulled out by Buffy.  On the outside, Buffy helps train Giles to go back into the matrix.  The magic he uses at the end of season six is part of what he learned on the outside.  Buffy and Giles develop a relationship because she was the one to rescue him from the matrix and train him.

Any rating is fine with me.  I just think this could be a great story idea.  I would try to write it, but I'm not really good at writing fight scenes.
